Surf Art Collection by Randy Morgan
Artist Randy Morgan and legendary surfer Ian Cairns worked closely together on this series of surfing inspired fine art. They both considered this the "ultimate Aloha piece”. Randy honors the late Buttons Kaluhiokalani, the world famous surfer who’s friendly smile and gentle nature most embodied the Aloha Spirit of Hawaii.
Buttons is pictured in the bottom left, paddling on his surfboard while looking back to flash his iconic peace sign. Israel Kamakawino’ole is singing and playing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on his ukulele in the image above. The famous Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Diamond Head are featured on the bottom right with Buttons surfing a big wave in Haleiwa above that.
